Hotel Latrabjarg is in Iceland near the magnificent Latrabjarg, Europe largest bird cliffs. Latrabjarg is in the Westfjords of Iceland and marks the western most point of Europe.
The cliffs are home to millions of birds, including puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills. It is vital for their survival as it hosts up to 40% of the world population for some species e.g. the Razorbill (Álka) It is Europe's largest bird cliff, 14km long and up to 440m high.
Hotel Latrabjarg is located in Örlygshöfn by road 615 on the south side of the fjord Patreksfjörður. It is open from mid May each year until mid September. Is run by Sigridur Huld Gardarsdottir (Sirry) and Karl Eggertsson.
Beautiful beach is 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. Amount the many nearby attractions and popular driving destinations are beside the Latrabjarg cliffs, Rauðasandur beach, Dynjandi waterfall, Selárdalur and museum of Samuel Jonsson,, Museum of Egill Olafsson in Örlygshöfn, “Heiti pollurinn” a natural hot spring bathing facility in Talknafjörður, Kollsvík and Keflavík.
